Avia Maldives Assist 1277 Passengers Return Home

On 1st May, Avia Maldives successfully concluded second repatriation mission for Garuda Indonesia. During this operation, a total of 347 passengers departed from Velana International Airport (VIA) which included 321 Indonesian passengers and 26 passengers from Colombo. The airline highlights that 18 firefighter staff of MACL Airport Rescue team arrived from Indonesia to Maldives on this flight.

With this operation amidst COVID-19 pandemic, Avia Maldives has assisted 1277 Passengers on repatriation operations to return back home. On 25th April, Avia Maldives helped 336 Philippine Nationals safely fly home on Philippines Airlines and on 24th April, the airline successfully concluded the repatriation mission for Garuda Indonasia, transferring 42 Indonesian nationals from Colombo and 297 people from the Maldives back home.
