Product of Stade Rennais FC youth system, Mikael claimed a first-team spot at only 18 and spent two good seasons with the French club before joining Italian prominent club Inter in the 1998/99 season. However, his career really picked up steam when Mikael moved to Manchester United in 1999.

Proving to be a fantastic asset for Man-U, Silvestre bagged 361 appearances over 9 seasons for the red Devils. He was a prominent part of the lineup that recorded 5 League Titles, the FA Cup, the Football League Cup, two FA Community Shield victories, the Intercontinental Club World Cup and the Champions league in May 2008. Silvestre switched to Arsenal for 2 seasons later on, and saw several career highlights ever since.

With a large and passionate global fan following that extends from Europe to Asia to South America to the U.S. Mikael can converse with his fans in French, English, German and Italian. There is nothing he loves more than sharing a love for football and he looks forward to making new friends along the way during his time in Soneva Fushi.
