The TAPASAKE Maldives is also going to host a set of special dining experiences during the month of March, as the Japanese Owner Chef Norimasa Kosaka will be welcomed to do a special collaboration with the resident Chef Ahmed Jameel.
The overwater restaurant will be at the ultra-luxury One&Only Reethi Rah, where it will feature a Four-Hands Dining Experience as well as a sushi night, allowing the two chefs whose career backgrounds have been intertwined.
Chef Kosaka has previously served in TAPASAKE between the year 2007 and 2009. He currently owns Mimasaka NORIMASA where he is serving a modern version of Japanese food with a French touch. He spent over ten years of his life in foreign countries and has a proven culinary background at the international level, his approach to Japanese cuisine being modern.
The following cooperation will be also a reunion of the chef and his former pupil. Jameel is a Maldivian chef who learnt many of his cooking skills in the Japanese cuisine under Chef Kosaka, who had learned the traditional ways as well as the modern ones in food preparation.
In the case of the Four-Hand Dining Experience, the chefs will make a menu as per their personal styles. Cook Kosaka will offer such dishes as Sashimi Tartar and 5-Hour Steamed Abalone with Lobster, whereas Chef Jameel will offer such one as Truffle Crusted Spanish Sea Bass with Miso Foam. The two will also collaborate in order to prepare a Slow-Cooked Wagyu dish.
The Four-Hands Dining Experience will be held on 27 March and the Exquisite Night at the Sushi Bar will be held on 29 March with dinner service starts at 7:00pm to 10:30pm.
