Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has announced the reappearance of a pastry chef who won awards Chef Aminath, the founder of Maldivian Patisserie in a special cuisine tribute called A Taste of Homecoming.
Chef Aminath who has specialized in the making of high-end pastry and chocolate is a renowned person in the area. Her feats are that she has been named as the Best Maldivian Pastry Chef in 2022, a Gold Medal winner at the Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives Awards, and a recognized name in the Asian Pastry Cup. She has also served in various luxury properties such as Waldorf Astoria Maldives and CONRAD Maldives Rangali Island among others and dolce Italy bakery.
She is back to The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, and it is significant because it is where her adventure in the world of luxury hospitality started. She introduces us to A Taste of Homecoming, a well-considered assortment of sweet delights which emphasizes local influences and international methods.
Some of the products in the line include Kanamadhu Dragee, Five-spice Hazelnut Dragee, Cinnamon Hazelnut Dragee, Cashew Cardamom Dragee, Orange Almond Dragee, Almond Florentine, Cranberry Macadamia Cookie, Coconut Latte Cookie and Palmiers. The collection is exhibited in a special retail area that is located within La Locanda and guests can bring home these creations.
The turndown chocolates and in-villa cookies at the resort will also be handled by Chef Aminath and Maldivian Patisserie.
It is the second time that the resort has partnered with a local female talent since the previous one with artist Shimha Shakeeb who created the Lagoon Life drawings that are displayed throughout the property.
