The summer of 2022 is going to be one of firsts for Joali Being as they are inviting guests aged 6 to 12 during the months of June, July, and August. Now you may wonder, what's so special about that? Well, normally, the resort only allowed gusts aged 14 years above. So these three months will be really special.
The kids will be able to enjoy weekly seven-day programs which are designed around the resort's four pillars of mind, skin, microbiome, and energy through this new retreat appropriately named 'Joy of Being'. They will be offered age-appropriate activities designed by the resort’s team of naturopaths, therapists, movements experts, and nutritionists.
A statement from the brand said the new program will teach young guests to “connect with nature and discover the power of science and the importance of wellbeing in an exciting, fun and creative way”.
Sea Gardeners: With a marine biologist, young guests will learn the importance of the coral reef, Joali Being’s Coral Reef Restoration Project, interacting with live organisms, and replanting coral colonies in a nursery.
Herbology 101: At AKTAR, Joali Being an on-site herbology center, resident herbalists will educate on the healing power of herbs through workshops highlighting skin health, medicinal herbs, and the body system, while learning about aromatherapy and essential oils through soap making and connecting with the skin pillar.

Nutritional Workshops: Connecting with the microbiome pillar, cooking classes will allow children to learn the art and science of cooking and explore the diverse world of taste and flavor through healthy ingredients with cooking classes and activities such as The Laughing Boocha, learning about the health benefits of kombucha; Iced Tea Hunters, making iced tea at SAI tea lounge with resident tea sommelier; Fuel Your Body, learning about nutrition with resident nutritionist; Fun with Mocktails, Mindful Nice Cream, and more.
Snorkeling, A Turtle's Journey: On a voyage to the nearby turtle reef, young guests are immersed in nature watching marine life up close. Children will learn about how Joali Being supports the Olive Ridley Project, protecting sea turtles and their habitats in Raa atoll through rescue and rehabilitation, research, education, and outreach
Jungle Yoga & Active Meditation: Experienced movement and mindfulness specialists will lead children and parents through meditation and traditional yoga mixed with animal-inspired movements at the overwater Ocean Sala.
