COVID19- Manta Air Reduces Flight Operations

Manta Air has announced that they will temporarily stop flights to Gaaf Alif Kooddoo, starting from 29th March and also reduce flight operations to Baa Dharavandhu and Dhaalu Kudahuvadhoo.

The premium domestic airline stated that this action was taken as a precautionary measure during the coronavirus crisis and as a result of necessary travel restrictions, there has been a huge decrease in domestic travel demand. There has also been an issue of increased cancellation in bookings.

On 15th March, Manta Air made an important announcement relating to the coronavirus outbreak in the Maldives. The airline requested passengers to follow the regular travel updates and to listen to guidance given by hotels, travel agents and the Health Protection Agency of Maldives.

They also advised the public to limit travel unless necessary and to stay home if in case of a fever or cough. Moreover, Manta Air stated that the airline will be flexible in providing the best solution to accommodate travel needs if a customer already has a booking done.
