CROSSROADS Maldives X Move Maldives Is All Set For ‘Maldives Half Marathon 22’

Yesterday, CROSSROADS Maldives announced that they have joined with Move Maldives to partake in this year’s Maldives Half Marathon 22. The decision came in line with the resort’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy and will be hosting an information booth to serve that purpose. At the booth, visitors can receive a 10% discount voucher to shop from any of the outlets in the Marina.

This year’s theme for the run is Our Reef, Our Lives, Our Responsibility. As the largest sports tourism event held in the Maldives, the Half Marathon is expected to attract over 10,000 runners and spectators hailing from different cultural backgrounds. A total of 20 countries, 100 resorts and multiple participants from different atolls are set to take part in this fun experience.

Suitable for people of all ages and abilities, the running festival is organized by Move Maldives with collaborations from Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Ministry of Tourism.

The race will feature nine categories including the Half Marathon, 15km, 10km and 5k Fun Run. Moreover, a children’s festival will be held concurrently with the running, ensuring everyone enjoys a good time. The 2022 edition will cater for the introduction of the first international 15km run in the Maldives as well as the first Inline Skating Race and Wheelchair Race. The event will be held in Hulhumale’ on 9-10th of September 2022.
