Deepak Booneady – The Newly Appointed CEO of Sun Siyam Resorts

Sun Siyam Resorts has announced the promotion of Deepak Booneady to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the brand. Before his promotion, he was previously serving as the Vice President of Commercial at Sun Siyam Resorts. In his new role, Deepak will oversee the overall operation of the company, while closely working together with the group general manager, the resort management teams and the head office board of directors.
As CEO, Deepak will strive to create, communicate and conduct the brand’s vision, mission and transformative direction at all Sun Siyam properties. His commendable skillset and leadership talents proved their worth during his time as Vice President of Commercial of Sun Siyam Resorts, having navigated the brand through difficult challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his tenure, the brand received substantial development as he helmed the team through numerous hurdles. His forward-thinking capabilities and business mindset proved extremely valuable at the time as he restructured the brand and explored new avenues of business management to get through the uncertain times.

Deepak initially joined the Sun Siyam Resorts back in 2019 as Group Director of Business Development and was shortly promoted to Vice President of Commercial in 2021. He has also worked with the Mauritius-based hospitality group, LUX* Resorts and Hotels in the past, filling in as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. Back then, he supervised the product promotion and business development of the group and played an integral role in driving sales and product positioning.
With more than twenty-five years of experience in the luxury travel and hospitality industries, Deepak now steps in as CEO of Sun Siyam Resorts, prepared to take the brand to new heights. Always seeking opportunities to broaden his knowledge, Deepak enjoys reading extensively and has recently completed several education programs at Harvard Business School.
