Earth Day Celebrations by Villa Hotels & Resorts

Villa Hotels & Resorts have announced that they will be celebrating Earth Day by hosting several conservation activities at their collection of resorts. The theme for this year’s Earth Day is “Invest in our Planet”. Scuba dives, beach, and lagoon cleanups have been arranged at Sun Island, Paradise Island, and Royal Island by diveOceanus. The debris collected from these events will be donated to Parley for the Oceans™.

The resorts will also host other activities such as tree planting, a dedicated Earth Hour to celebrate nature, and fun kids’ activities. These activities can be participated by anyone and all are encouraged to join. Because why wouldn’t you want to help save our planet, even if it's just a little bit? It’s the only one we’ve got so we really ought to start taking better care of it, now that we know better. Sure, we can find other planets to inhabit, but we’re all a bit sentimental, aren’t we?

Earth Day serves as a reminder of the current state of our planet and the importance of trying to protect it for the future. DiveOceanus organizes regular cleanups at islands and sandbanks to ensure the preservation of the marine life that lives there.
