The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort invites guests to embark on a culinary voyage with 'Stories of the Sea' - an exclusive seafood experience available this October. Renowned guest chef Shahfi Yusoff from the acclaimed Kayuputi restaurant at The St. Regis Langkawi will be at The St. Regis Maldives for two nights, treating guests to his specially curated menu, a fusion of Asian, Malaysian, and international haute cuisine, all with a distinctive local touch.
Under the theme 'Stories of the Sea', this menu showcases a tantalizing blend of Malaysian and global flavors, enhanced by modern French culinary techniques, all centered around the rich offerings of the Maldivian sea. Chef Shahfi Yusoff explains, "My cooking philosophy is simple. I believe that the key to delivering the finest epicurean adventures is through the freshness of ingredients combined with modest cooking techniques to bring out their natural flavors."
Drawing inspiration from Kayuputi's visionary oceanic design by world-renowned Bill Bensley, Chef Shahfi has crafted a menu that promises to delight diners with his culinary expertise. He is joined by a team of skilled chefs at The St. Regis Maldives, each a master in their respective culinary domains. Together, they present a remarkable culinary journey, featuring signature dishes like the red snapper asam pedas risotto, Alaskan crab umeboshi granita, truffle ice cream with Oscietra caviar, and Langkawi black bee honey.
