Last Thursday, award-winning airline, Emirates celebrated the debut of its Premium Economy offering in Singapore at the Emirates Lounge in Changi Airport Terminal 1. During the launching event, guests were given a guided tour of the all-new product from the elevated interior across all cabin classes of the airlines’ enhanced four-class A380 aircraft.
The exclusive premium economy experience will now be deployed on flights EK 354 and EK 355 between Singapore and Dubai. Onboard a four-class Emirates A380, the Premium Economy cabin can be found at the front of the main deck with 56 seats allocated in a 2-4-2 configuration. One of the highlights of this cabin class is the spacious seating with generous seat pitch and width included to cater to customers’ needs of working and relaxing inflight.
Moreover, the new offering also comes with customized features that offer additional functions and convenience to passengers travelling via this cabin class. This includes in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table as well as refined in-flight amenities. To round off the elevated experience, passengers can also delight in an inventive menu and an extensive range of beverage options to enjoy during their travels.
The Premium Economy Offering is introduced as part of the large-scale USD 2 billion retrofit program currently undertaken by Emirates. Under this project, all 67 A380s of the Emirates fleet will be retrofitted by 2024 and works will begin on its 53 Boeing 777s shortly afterwards. The entire project is set to be the largest aircraft refurbishment program to be conducted in aviation history.
