Nika Island Resort & Spa is one of the first islands in Ari Atoll to become a unique destination in the world. A 25-minute seaplane ride from Male`, Nika describes luxury as experiencing the Maldivian tradition and culture, without giving up the comforts of high-class hotel services. One of the signature experiences of the resort is the Nika Museum. It features a selection of items and objects that shares a fascinating story and helps the local community (re)discover the heritage of a country that is slowly fading away.
The resort has 46 uniquely designed rooms in the garden area, on the beach and on the water. If you’re looking for something even more exclusive, Nika has 1 Fornace Studio (about 750sqft) located in the heart of the island, with double room, adjoining living room that can accommodate additional beds, bathroom, hallway, wardrobe and large outdoor patio with sun loungers. Further, the Faro Studio is an original open space located above the coffee shop, on two levels and with a private terrace overlooking the ocean on the west side of the island.
Nika Restaurant offers full-board, half-board or all-inclusive packages, with a buffet menu alternating with the à la carte menu. Although the cuisine is predominantly Italian and Mediterranean, guests enjoy Maldivian buffet and barbecue every once a week in the welcoming, large open-air structure. Bepi Bar and the Coffee Shop are two welcoming meeting spots where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets and sip amazing aperitif cocktails.
When it comes down to recreational activities and relaxation, Nika Diving Center is able to offer innumerable diving sites suitable for both beginners and advanced or experienced divers due to its strategic location in the North Ari Atoll. Nika’s “Lotus Spa” offers its services in 8 different cottages rising from a lagoon of water lilies.
