Taking vacationing to a whole new level of excitement, Home Stay will allow tourists to stay with the locals and get the best chance to experience the local culture first-hand in Maldives whilst also enjoying the beautiful tropical environment. The explorations are endless at the tropical paradise.
The unveiling of the new Home Stay Tourism was established at a press conference held on December 29th, in which the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Adam Riza was accompanied by Senior Policy Director, Ibrahim Farhad, Senior Policy Director, Mohamed Khussan and Senior Executive Director, Ali Razzan.
Speaking at the conference, Adam Riza highlighted the growing needs of the Tourism Industry in the country, expressing his joy over the new innovation and the importance of locals in the Tourism Industry. Adam went on to stress on the flexibility for tourists with Home Stay, catering to all classes of tourists.
Furthermore, Mohamed Khussan stated that the main focus of Home Stay will be on providing convenient registration services for anyone setting up a new business. Khussan also stressed that criminal records of guesthouse owners will be taken into account when issuing registrations and third-party liability insurance will also be introduced to protect visitors and the property owners.
