Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives has introduced two exciting new spaces for guests: the Art Lab and Teen Hut, designed to spark creativity and fun for visitors of all ages. Developed by the renowned Muza Lab, these areas aim to enhance the resort’s appeal to multi-generational families by offering dynamic, immersive experiences that blend modern design with traditional Maldivian elements.
The Art Lab, nestled within lush greenery, serves as a creative haven. It features workshops in painting and pottery, encouraging guests to engage in artistic expression while surrounded by natural beauty. The space is built using bamboo, chosen for its eco-friendly properties and versatility, and the interiors are infused with vibrant colours and textures that evoke a sense of creativity and relaxation. With open layouts and touches of Maldivian culture, the Art Lab offers a unique space for guests to let their imaginations flow.
Adjacent to it, the Teen Hut caters to younger visitors, aged 12 to 17, with a blend of fun and relaxation. The space includes cutting-edge gaming zones, a bar for mocktail crafting, a movie lounge, and an outdoor games area. On the second floor, a music zone with instruments, a stage, and a karaoke machine create an energetic vibe. The Teen Hut’s contemporary design, complete with “Instagrammable” furniture, encourages teens to unplug and connect with each other.
Muza Lab’s founder, Inge Moore, emphasized that both spaces were created to foster inclusivity and encourage interaction. The designs are intended not only as recreational spaces but also as venues for workshops, meetings, and collaborative experiences.
Steven Phillips, General Manager of Finolhu Baa Atoll, expressed his excitement over the new additions, saying, “The Art Lab offers a creative oasis, and the Teen Hut provides a dynamic environment for teens to unwind and connect. These spaces ensure every family member has a fulfilling experience during their stay in our island paradise.”
