Both OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI and OZEN LIFE MAADHOO are going all out to impress guests with a festive celebration in 2021 that is especially cheerful and bright.
The beautiful floating Christmas trees constructed completely of sustainable materials offer a focal point to the decorations, bringing old and new traditions to life this festive season.
At OZEN Life Maadhoo, guests are enchanted by a 48.25-foot-high floating Christmas tree surrounded by clear turquoise ocean and white sand beaches. The Christmas-card setting is completed with glistening lights, stars, and brilliant reflections on the lagoon, leaving the guests in awe.
A team of 17 colleagues completed the engineering in 24 days, resulting in the tallest eco-friendly, floating Christmas Tree in the Maldives. The structure was constructed from around 200 bundles of repurposed Kadjan (palm leaves) rescued from the water villa repairs.
There are also 18 abandoned bicycles and handmade metal stars adorning this one-of-a-kind Christmas tree, which are all lit with dazzling, multi-colored LED lights.
OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI, the sister resort, also has an exquisite 46-foot-high floating Christmas tree. The Christmas tree, as lovely as the rest of Bolifushi island, adds to the rich festive show while also having a low carbon footprint.
Colleagues built the frame out of 36 empty engine oil barrels and 505 Regiform cartons. This big project took a team of four coworkers around four months to complete.
What an impressive initiative by the resorts towards reducing the carbon footprint in Maldives as the busiest season of the year takes over the country like a storm!
