Where has technology taken us, that now you can use Wi-fi while you are in the sky! Qatar Airways is celebrating the launch of its 100th aircraft to feature high-speed ‘Super Wi-Fi’ connectivity, allowing its passengers to stay in touch with families, friends and colleagues while on board using the fastest broadband service available in the sky.

Qatar Airways, labelled as World’s Best Airline, in 2019 and which has won a countless number of awards, is the leading innovator in the aviation industry and hence the brand loyalty that this airway has established with its passengers is without question.

With its 100th Super Wi-Fi enabled aircraft, Qatar Airways now offers the largest number of aircrafts equipped with the ultimate high-speed broadband on board in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.

Using the award-winning GX Aviation technology from global mobile satellite communications provider, Inmarsat, the high-speed Super Wi-Fi service is being distributed across the airline’s fleet and since its launch in 2018 has enabled millions of passengers to browse the internet, check social media, stream videos and more whilst relaxing on board.

Inmarsat Aviation President, Mr. Philip Balaam, said that Qatar Airways is world renowned for offering an onboard experience that is unlike any other and which is enjoyed by millions of loyal passengers across the world. He said that he is pleased that the GX Aviation inflight broadband has evolved to now become a component of flight experience on the airline’s extensive fleet.

He says that Feedback from passengers have been hugely positive and now, with the service being available on the 100th aircraft, even more can enjoy the best connectivity in the skies.
