Funding World’s 10 Most Unique Home Ideas

Airbnb launches the Unique Airbnb Fund, the company’s first-ever USD 1 million programme that’s designed to find and help finance the most unconventional and unusual livable spaces on the planet.

“We’re giving 10 people $100,000 each to build the most unconventional Airbnb they can dream up.* whether it’s a new idea or a restoration plan, send us your pitch and tell us why you believe it belongs in the world.”

Ten recipients of the fund will be selected by an expert panel of design and style innovators, including Emmy, Tony and GRAMMY award-winning actor Billy Porter, Airbnb superhost Kristie Wolfe, of the famed Big Idaho Potato Hotel and global and cutting-edge architecture firm MVRDV.

This is your big chance to design and build your dream extraordinary house idea into a reality, and share it with travellers all over the world. All submissions will be scored against criteria based on creativity, feasibility, sustainability and social good.
