Fly Lankan Asia, Sri Lanka's newest airline, is officially ready to begin direct flights to the Maldives starting from January 2022 onwards.
The Fly Lankan Asia, set to be a budget friendly airline, made the decision to begin flying operations to the Maldives as part of their objective of beginning operations in nearby nations. As a result, the airline intends to begin flight operations to India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, and the Maldives.
Fly Lankan Asia is Sri Lanka’s third international airline which came to inception following the merger of the low-cost carrier Mihin Lanka with Sri Lankan airlines. The airlines main priority will be on cargo traffic. Using the Boeing 737 flights, they can capacitate up to 160 to 190 passengers.
Expressing her joy, the Airline’s CEO, Dr. Arosha Fernando validated the carrier's lower fare rates that will be available for the passengers. She further enhanced on the future endeavor to introduce new competition to the air-cargo area as well as improve the aviation industry's overall services.
