Heroes Rising from the Coronavirus

As the world continues to be hit hard by the coronavirus epidemic, a number of problems have come up. Children are out of school. Restaurants are empty and grocery stores flooded as people start stocking. Millions have been ordered to shelter in place. Countries face a lack of resources. But from chaos comes heroes.

Café Gelato, South Carolina

A conversation on how to survive their restaurant turns into how to help the people. Many students rely on their local school systems for meals. The café started offering free kids’ meals to school aged children in need.

White Duck Taco Shop, North Carolina

This restaurant offers one free taco for school-aged children per day with the hope to ‘alleviate monetary struggles that we all are suffering right now due to the coronavirus outbreak’.
