Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives Presents A Ramadan Island Getaway

Sunday 19th of February 2023

With the holy month of Ramadan ticking closer, Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives in the Indian Ocean is presenting a very special offer for both fasting and non-fasting guests during the season. With sumptuous dining spreads to indulge in and a wide array of accommodation options to choose from and an equally tempting list of innovative offerings to look forward to, the island resort is the ideal destination to kick back and relax during this prestigious month of reflection.

Families can spend their sun-drenched days in the comforts of their own villas with many choices available for interconnecting villas. With nature’s best assets showcased at every entrance, guests can opt for a 2-bedroom Beach House or take up the extravagant 2-bedroom Overwater Pavilion for a rejuvenating time together with loved ones. The newly-opened 3-bedroom Kandooma Beach Pool Villa is another option to explore, elevating the stay to suit guest preferences.

General Manager at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, Mark Eletr says “Our island offers a great degree of privacy for guests whether they choose to stay on the water in one of our popular Overwater Villas, by the beach or within the tropical gardens. Kandooma is small enough to walk around yet, offering enough space to find your own little pocket of peace and tranquillity. Some of our guests prefer the cabanas on our Surf Beach with the sounds of the waves, while others enjoy the activity around the resort pool area. There really is something for everyone including the little ones.”

While adults enjoy their well-deserved recluse, the kids can find their match at the Kandoo Kids Club where supervised activities can be engaged in both indoors and outdoors. A designated fun water zone located on the premises will also scale up the fun further. Commenting on this, Mark added “Our team really care about our little guests and ensuring they have just as much fun as our older clientele. I think this is one of the reasons many families return to our resort year after year.”

As for non-fasting guests, they can make use of the normal food and beverage services offered by the resort including poolside drinks and all-day dining. For guests who are observing the traditions of Ramadan, Kandooma provides access to its private mosque on the island and offers a delicious Iftar each evening at the Kandooma Café at Sunset. Guests can also pick up a la carte Sohour menus from their in-villa dining options during the month as well.

At Kandooma we offer our guests an opportunity to unwind and relax whether that be just taking time out or experiencing one of the many activities available. During this special month of self-restraint and looking within, many of our Maldivian and expatriate staff are also observing the holy month traditions,” said Mark. “Ramadan is not just about refraining from smoking, eating and drinking in the daylight hours, but embodying a sense of community as well as restraining from listening, speaking, hearing or even thinking negatively about someone, and so much more.”

The Ramadan Getaway starts at USD 496++ per room and includes accommodation for 2 adults with 2 children below the age of 12 catered through the ‘Kids Stay & Eat Free’ programme. Additionally, complimentary non-motorized water sports, Wi-Fi and special in-villa welcome amenities will be available. For non-fasting guests daily buffet breakfast and dinner at Kandooma Café’ is included while fasting guests can substitute for daily iftar and in-villa dining a la carte sohour for 2 adults.
