Health Protection Agency (HPA) has released instructions to apply for release if you’re currently in a resort or a safari and if you’re not a tourist. There are 3 options to leave from a resort or a safari: 1) resorts where there are no suspected or confirmed coronavirus case 2) resorts under monitoring but no positive cases 3) resorts with positive cases.
If you’re in a resort where there were no suspected or confirmed positive cases, you can apply for permission of release as long as 14 days have been completed since the exit of the last tourist and the staff has completed 14 day quarantine period. However, if you’re in a resort that’s under monitoring, 14-day period should be completed since the last reported suspected case with no further cases identified during that period and there is symptomatic case on the island.
If you’re currently in a resort with positive cases (imported), 14 days should be completed since the last reported positive case. However, if the cases are clustered (a spread of one or more person within the community), 28-day period needs to be completed from the last reported positive cases.
Health Protection Agency has different application forms for each option that has to be emailed. For option 1 and 2, you wouldn’t require approval, but for option 3, you have to wait for approval from HPA.
