Health Protection Agency releases new instructions to follow for the travelers flying inbound to Maldives, in regards to the Omicron Variant of COVID19 that is still at large around the globe.
As the busiest season of the year commences, the new instructions as per HPA that was released on December 26th follows as below;
• All inbound travelers to Maldives (aged 1 year and above) are required to submit a negative PCR test that is no older than 96 hours from the time of boarding from port.
• All inbound travelers (except tourists) are directed to submit a PCR test within 3 to five days after the arrival date to Maldives.
• Maldivians and Work Permit Holders Traveling inbound to Maldives (above 12 years in age), who have not completed the two dozes of vaccinations will be required to a 14-day quarantine and a PCR test at the end of the quarantine.
All individuals are requested to follow the instructions mandated by Health Protection Agency in order to stay safe from the global pandemic that has taken over our daily lives.
