The thing of the now is IATA Travel Pass. Widely being accepted and implemented across the aviation industry, Emirates was one of the premier airlines to trial the app in April. Now, passengers flying Emirates to 10 cities around the world can utilize the IATA Travel Pass solutions.
Emirates' customers flying between Dubai and London, Barcelona, Madrid, Istanbul, New York JFK, Moscow, Frankfurt, Charles De Gaulle, and Amsterdam can now manage their Covid related documentation and travel authorizations in a single place digitally. Passengers on these flights will receive an SMS and email with the activation code and instructions on downloading the IATA Travel Pass app.
Emirates has promising plans to expand the implementation across more of its routes in the months to come. Since trials began, Emirates has worked closely with IATA and its partners to enhance the IATA Travel Pass experience based on customer feedback. In this regard, Emirates has partnered with the official UAE app for Covid19 related documentation – Alhosn – offering customers greater convenience and smoother journeys from July onwards.
The IATA Travel Pass app is now available to both iOS and Android users, and can also be used by customers with non-biometric passports.
