How do you define wellness? On the Global Wellness Day celebrated on June 12 every year, the active process of becoming aware of and making choices towards a healthy and fulfilling life is embraced by wellness ambassadors from around the world. It becomes their lifelong desire to improve on the quality of life by indulging in meaningful experiences on every occasion.
As change does not happen overnight, GWD is also a reminder to take things one step at a time. Simple changes to regular routines such as walking for an hour, drinking more water, avoiding plastic water bottles, doing a good deed for someone, sharing a dinner with a loved one, and going to sleep early are all welcomed as healthy practices.
