
Angsana Velavaru has appointed Jan Lorenzen as Executive Assistant Manager, bringing over 20 years of international experience in luxury hospitality to the Maldives. Known for his deep knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, Jan has led teams across Europe and Asia and worked with renowned brands including The Landmark London, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Millennium Knightsbridge, Belmond Napasai, Amari Pattaya, and the Royal Cliff Hotels Group.
Most recently, he managed the successful renovation of all Food and Beverage outlets at Angsana Laguna Phuket. His career spans pre-opening projects, large-scale MICE operations, and leading multi-outlet dining venues, showcasing his ability to deliver high-quality, guest-focused results.
At Angsana Velavaru, Jan will focus on enhancing the resort’s Food and Beverage offerings with new concepts that blend local flavours and international trends. He is also committed to strengthening guest experiences, supporting team development, and promoting sustainability across operations.
Jan describes his leadership as “hands-on and collaborative.”
