Jen Maldives Brought Fun & Laughter To The Shelter Home, Fiyavathi With A Day Of Joy!

This week, Jen Maldives by Shangri-la brought smiles to the faces of the children at Fiyavathi, by taking a day off from work to visit the lovely shelter. They visited the shelter during the last week of holiday and engaged the children in multiple fun activities before the Academic year of 2022-2023 began.
Gifts curated with love such as stationaries, fun games, toys and food and drinks were brought by the management team and staff when they made a stop at the Fiyavathi home in Hulhumale’. They were welcomed to the home by Chief Executive Officer of Fiyavathi, Ms.Zeena Gasim. This exciting day began with a special afternoon tea that left the children high spirited for the upcoming games.
Later on, the JEN team arranged many kids-friendly activities for the little ones and the evening was filled with gleeful laughter and chatter. Some of the games played include sack relay and tug-of-war which brought the competitive element into the games and the children enjoyed those activities immensely.
The Fiyavathi shelter is home to more than 100 children aged between 0 months to 18 years. These children have been put into the shelter for different reasons such as abandonment, neglect, deprivation and abuse. The shelter is run by financial assistance from Ministry of Gender and other generous donations from individuals. All the children at Fiyavathi attend close by schools and have passionate dreams for the future such as becoming teachers, doctors, engineers and even star football players.
Jen Maldives conducted this initiative as part of their social responsibility policy and aimed to create a worry-free evening that was filled with delight and smiles. The team at JEN believe that cherished memories are important for the evolution of children and the team is proud to be part of such a remarkable day for the kids at Fiyavathi.
