JOALI Empowers Women’s Committees In Three Islands Of Raa Atoll

Tuesday 28th of December 2021

JOALI Maldives, the Maldives' first art-immersive resort, is nestled among the lush life between the palm palms and the stunning turquoise lagoon. Guests can expect stunning blue waters, a plethora of sea life, and gorgeous white-sand beaches flanked by gently swaying coconut trees at Raa Atoll, one of the world's largest and deepest atolls.

The team from this gorgeous resort is also a huge supporter for local community engagements and spreading women empowerment. In regards to this, the team at JOALI Maldives encouraged female education and vocational training with the goal of increasing self-sufficiency and fostering social entrepreneurship by donating funds to three different Women’s Development Committees in Raa Atoll.

The Committees in R.Innamaadhoo, R.Rasmaadhoo and R.Maakurathu were handed over the donations by the General Manager of JOALI Maldives, Enver Arslan and other members of the JOALI family. With these donations, the Committees in each island will establish a children’s park in R.Maakurathu, dustbins around public areas in R.Innamaadhoo and build a proper waiting area near the island school of R.Rasmaadhoo.

On the island of joy, artisan amenities, selected in-room bookcases, intelligent design, and exquisite objects d'art create an environment of unusual luxury. The JOALI Art Studio & Gallery is at the heart of the JOALI offering, with its remarkable array of art and design pervading all parts of the resort.

Glithero from London and Misha Kahn from New York will be among the international guest artists exhibiting installations to surprise and excite, often collaborating with local craftspeople to intersect design and sculpture.
