Joali Maldives Begins Vaccinating All of its Staff

Joali Maldives Begins Vaccinating All of its Staff

Tuesday 30th of March 2021

The seemingly ordinary island of Muravandhoo in Raa Atoll might look like just any other pearl in the string of the Maldivian archipelago. But when you step foot on the island, your joy takes flight. A sense of awakening comes to guests on the Maldives’ first art-immersive resort of Joali, an island of joy as they call it. Indeed, between the lush palm-fringed vegetation and beneath the waves surrounding the island are a myriad of sensational elegance in the form of a luxurious island retreat.

Today, the resort has announced rolling out an island-wide vaccination program, in lines with the current efforts of the Ministry of Tourism to vaccinate all frontline tourism service providers in the country.

Since the pandemic forced shut the doors of the resort to guests in March 2020, they began preparations to implement further enhanced health and safety standards across all touch points on the island. All the finer details from guest arrival to reception, dining, recreational facilities, and even the technical and maintenance services were trained and equipped accordingly to adhere to the new-normal when the resort reopened in August 2020.

With assistance from the Health Protection Agency, all of the staff of Joali will receive the first doze of Covid19 Vaccine. In addition to all the measures in place, guests arriving at the island and staff are now reassured of their health being the utmost priority during their stay.

Minimal restrictions are currently in place for tourists arriving to the destination. Once a guest arrives at Joali, they undergo a RT-PCR test by the in-house doctor at the comfort of their villa and await rapid results within 2 minutes. Should they test positive, they are asked to remain in the premises and all quarantine arrangements are facilitated by the resort. Otherwise, Joali’s Jadhugar will assist guests in pursuing the many adventures that await. Guests who require an exit PCR test are also provided the service on the island by Joali.
