The Raa Dhuvaafaru Council receives USD 30,000 and two eight-seater buggies worth USD 14,900 from JOALI Maldives, which is located on the island of Muravandhoo in the unspoiled Raa Atoll. This recent donation, according to JOALI Maldives, would help sustain the surrounding communities. With over 5,000 residents, Dhuvaafaru is the most populous island in the Raa Atoll, including over 2,500 women, some of whom are currently employed at JOALI Maldives.

“At JOALI Maldives, we are all deeply committed to active involvement in supporting the communities in Raa Atoll. We continue to work together with the local communities, supporting in different areas of need and focusing particularly on remote islands here in Raa Atoll,” Sharing his enthusiasm over the course is Enver Arslan, the General Manager at JOALI Maldives.

Since its debut in 2018, JOALI Maldives is pleased of the significant communal and environmental changes it has been able to achieve. Through its deep-rooted 'Joy of Caring' CSR strategy, which focuses on four essential CSR components, ‘Joy of Preserving’ – promoting environmental initiatives on the island, ‘Joy of Supporting’, which fosters community engagement within Raa atoll, ‘Joy of Empowering’, supporting gender equality and women empowerment, ‘Joy of Conserving’, which focuses on driving operational sustainability, the immersive-art resort holistically instills social and environmental responsibility.

JOALI Maldives has always been committed to helping the local populations in Raa Atoll, with a focus on female empowerment. JOALI was thrilled to contribute funding to the Raa Atoll's three Women's Development Committees: Raa Innamaadhoo WDC, Raa Maakurathu WDC, and Raa Rasmaadhoo WDC in December 2021. Over 3,000 people will benefit from the cash, which will be used to assist community development and female empowerment projects on the islands.

In January 2022, JOALI Maldives donated cash generated through a collaborative art project to three non-governmental organizations working in the Maldives, including Women In Tech Maldives. The funding will be used to encourage, empower, and celebrate women in science and technology, including a program to teach coding to schoolchildren.

The first and only immersive art resort in the Maldives, JOALI Maldives is set on the island of Muravandhoo in the unspoiled Raa Atoll, just 45 minutes by private aircraft from Male. JOALI Maldives, which opened in late 2018, genuinely represents the joys of life, with a focus on art and sustainable luxury, food, family, and well-being. With its focus on the human narrative and nature, JOALI Maldives distinguishes out from the crowd of luxury resorts in the region, maintaining and protecting the place that the team loves the most by casting a spotlight on sustainability.

The interactive works of art and dynamic design at JOALI Maldives, which include a Manta Ray Tree-house and an underwater coral reef sculpture, all reflect the beauty of nature while keeping sustainability in mind.
