A pioneering hospitality and lifestyle brand in the Maldives, JOALI values sustainability above all, evident from the many innovative initiatives undertaken at both properties, JOALI BEING and JOALI Maldives. Bringing its green support a little closer to home this time around, JOALI Sustainability Fund aims to lead the positive transformation of local communities and the environment and has announced grants up to USD 3000 for various projects falling under this category.
Grant applications will be open in March and September of 2023 with a minimum of ten winning projects receiving funding to carry out their proposals. In order to be considered for funding, projects must demonstrate three key factors. This includes sustainability, the potential to create a lasting impact on the local community or environment and lastly, must be conducted in Raa atoll itself where both sister properties of JOALI are located.
Speaking on the occasion, Esin Güral Argat, Founder of JOALI remarked “The joy of caring is embedded in the DNA of JOALI. Every aspect of our culture and strategy is woven around the idea of responsible luxury. We are proud of the meaningful changes we have been able to create since our arrival in the Maldives.”
The JOALI Sustainability Fund will extend support to locally-led projects spanning four main areas. This includes safeguarding the planet, fostering wellbeing, creating platforms for women and nurturing ethical consumption. Grants up to USD 3000 will be financed per project under this initiative.
