On March 25th, The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives commemorated Earth Hour in an upbeat fashion by switching off the lights and celebrating with a unique dine-in-the-dark experience. The gastronomical voyage highlighted the Earth’s 5 Elements: Water, Air, Fire, Wood, and Metal, and took place at the BBQ Shak in a moonlit setting. During the event, guests were given the chance to enjoy a meaningful dining moment in a beautiful landscape, while igniting the senses with sumptuous culinary creations.
Hosted at Kula Beach, guests were also invited to partake in the illumination of the 60+ Earth Hour Sign which was neatly arranged on the white powdery beach. Amplifying the ambience further were performances of traditional Maldivian Boduberu which enthralled guests with its rich and rhythmic bass and deeply rooted earthly tunes.
