Sun Siyam Olhuveli is gearing up for an extraordinary festive season with AstroFest 2024-2025, running from December 21, 2024, to January 8, 2025. This year’s theme transforms the island into a celestial oasis, complete with floating astronauts, glowing planets, and stunning decorations that will immerse guests in a vibrant cosmic experience.
The festivities kick off on December 21 with a Christmas Tree Light-Up Ceremony, launching the holiday spirit. On Christmas Eve, December 24, guests can enjoy a Gala Cocktail Session at sunset, featuring live performances from DJ Jeremiah and belly dancer Vika Kolesnyk, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
Christmas Day promises excitement with Santa Claus’ Interstellar Arrival, bringing joy to guests of all ages. The day wraps up with a Christmas Beach BBQ under the stars, offering a delightful culinary experience.
AstroFest is family-friendly, starting with the Olhuveli Galaxy Colour Run on December 26, a fun-filled cosmic race. Families can join the Cosmic Quest Day treasure hunt on December 27, filled with hidden celestial surprises across the island.
New Year’s Eve will be the pinnacle of AstroFest. Guests are invited to an exclusive Gala Cocktail Session, followed by a lavish beachfront Gala Dinner under the Maldivian sky. The Galactic New Year Bash features performances by Amber Na, a leading DJ in Asia, alongside DJ Jeremiah, Italian pop star Matilde G, and Indian singer-songwriter TEJMUSIK, ensuring an unforgettable countdown to 2025.
The celebrations continue into the new year with special performances from renowned belly dancer Alla Kushnir on January 2 and 7. Russian artist Tanya German will energize the audience on January 4 and 7, while the Wild Fire Arts Collective presents captivating cirque-style entertainment on January 7.
For those seeking a relaxed atmosphere, the II Sense band will provide soothing acoustic sets on December 22, 29, and January 5, perfect for stargazing. Sports enthusiasts can showcase their skills during the Olhuveli Open Tennis Masters on January 2, while the Snowman at the Beach Competition on January 3 offers a playful take on traditional snowman-making with sand sculptures.
