The Maldives Marketing and Public Relation Corporations (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) invited travel agents from top Indian travel agencies to visit the country for a familiarization trip. The group will stay in the Maldives from July 16 to July 22, 2022. To keep the Maldives at the top of travelers' minds in the Indian market, this trip is being organized as a very successful marketing strategy.
Professionals from media organizations such as I'm Travel Agent, MakeMyTrip, Nivalink, Aspen Vacations, and Holiday Karma make up the team that arrived in Maldives. The team is staying at Grand Park Kodhipparu, Crossroads Maldives, and Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa, where they are enjoying the renowned Maldivian hospitality, one-of-a-kind experiences, and various cuisines.
The goal of this trip is to raise awareness of the Maldives as a travel destination after the pandemic as well as the distinctive goods and experiences on offer for tourists in the Indian market. After experiencing our goods and standards of service firsthand, the team will be better equipped to promote Maldives vacations. With MMPRC's familiarization tours for travel agents around the world, Visit Maldives hopes to reach this goal.
It is anticipated that the trip will increase Maldives arrival rates and reservations from India. MMPRC has already organized celebrity and influencer familiarization trips, a destination e-learning campaign with 2HUB, and influencer familiarization trips this year. We also participated in important trade shows like OTM 2022, Satte 2022, TTF, the Maldives roadshow in India, and the MILT Congress 2022. Two digital campaigns with Thomas Cook and PickyourTrail are currently running, as well as a promotion on Vistara Inflight magazine. For this market, there are a number of additional marketing and advertising initiatives planned for this year.
