LUX* Resorts Maldives Shows Further Gratitude towards Health Workers

On 3rd June, LUX* Resorts and Hotels Maldives announced the winners of the campaign launched on 15th May, for the appreciation of the Maldivian medical professionals’ selfless and heroic dedication during this challenging time. The public was invited to nominate a medical worker who they wish to win a complimentary two-night stay at LUX* South Ari Atoll or LUX* North Male Atoll.

Dr Shanooha Mansoor had been championing mental health awareness and a prominent pillar of Psychiatric treatment in the Maldives even before the pandemic. She and her team at Centre for Mental Health, the first national centre for mental health in the Maldives, have all been tireless in their efforts to ensure no one feels left out and that our mental well-being matter.

Dr Aminath Waheed, medical officer at Treetop Hospital, has been risking her life fighting a pandemic that has killed over 300 000 people. While Dr Aminath has won a free two-night stay at the LUX* South Ari Atoll, Dr Shanooha will be off to the North Male Atoll as soon as accessibility is re-established.

Further, LUX* Resorts and Hotels Maldives has announced a special package to express gratitude to those health workers who were unable to win the giveaway. From 3rd June, the resorts will offer a special Caregiver Rate to medical professionals residing in the Maldives.

Upon presenting your medical ID when booking directly with the resorts, they will deduct 30% off on accommodation and 20% off on dining and spa. To learn more and book your stay, please contact stay@luxnorthmale.com.
