Promoting the Maldives around the world as the desired getaway amid the pandemic with emphasis on the natural social distancing of the private and exclusive getaways have been a major campaign ongoing at Visit Maldives. Along these lines, one of the most recent campaigns was commenced in partnership with TripZilla – a 5-month long branding campaign with a coveted culture and travel digital publication in the Southeast Asian market.

Running from July till December, the campaign will be carried out with use of a variety of compinets curated together to promote Maldives and the authentic experiences one can have here. Estimated to reach over 25 million people with TripZilla, content on Maldives will be integrated into the interactive travel content highlighting the greatest trends, places, food, and people on the publication.

In addition to written and visual content, a video story featuring the blissful destination of Maldives, with the breathtaking views and the unmistakable offerings, will also be promoted. TripZilla will upload the content on its social platform Facebook as well, hyping the engagement of its users with the content.

Visit Maldives has also included promotion of Maldives as a Muslim-friendly destination in this campaign, aiming to attract the trending Halal Travel enthusiasts from the Southeast Asian market. Articles on the offerings will be marketed on HalalZilla, TripZilla’s millennial Muslim focused travel wing voicing on different topics of lifestyle and travel.

Southeast Asia is a promising source market to the Maldives, with potential to expand into different and new segments in the Maldivian tourism industry.
