Maldives in Top 5 Flooded Cities

The flooding problem in Venice, Italy is devastating. However, by the time the city sinks into the Adriatic Sea, many others would have already slipped away unnoticed. Malé City is ranked the 4th city, above Mexico City.

The Travel writes: “Island nations like the Maldives face the most complete destruction if sea levels continue to rise. Unlike Indonesia where the capital can be moved, this isolated population has nowhere else to go.” The Earth is currently undergoing a climate change of historic proportion, with sea levels rising noticeably from the melting of glaciers and icebergs. If the trend continues, the Maldives will be completely submerged in a few decades.
