Maldives Makes Another Remarkable Record On Tourist Arrivals!

The high season has started and the Velana International Airport has never been busier! With the number of tourist arrivals to Maldives surpassing the estimated number, the tourism industry has been thriving with tourists from around the globe!

December 5th has been marked as a remarkable day with one of the highest tourist arrivals noted! With 6269 tourists arriving just in that day, Maldivian Tourism has been thriving! The Ministry of Tourism has thanked the travelers for trusting Maldives for the safety precautions we take.

Taking a look at the Tourism Report released by the Ministry of Tourism at the month of November 2021, our biggest market rankings starting from 10th is Switzerland, Ukrain, United Kingdom, Spain, Saudi Arabia, United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Russia and holding the first position is India with 213,028 tourists just this year!

Since 2019, it has been a learning curve for the Maldives as we simultaneously fight the COVID19 variant whilst making Maldives a safe traveling destination for the globe. We have endured the lowest recorded number of arrivals in the history of Tourism in Maldives, with a rapid increment this year. Things are looking good as we move forward adjusting to the new normal.
