With over 42k trade visitors and more than 20k general public visitors expected to attend the event this year and coverage from over 2.5k journalists from 33 countries, FITUR is a B2B and B2C event that offers excellent business opportunities, access to qualified travel buyers, influencers, and market professionals. The event brings together travel agencies, wholesalers -tour operators, hotels & accommodation, carrier companies, leisure & culture, infrastructures, Spanish official organizations, and travel media. FITUR 2022 is held in Madrid, from the 19th to the 23rd of January.

MMPRC is participating in the event to promote the fact that the Maldives is a safe haven offering unique experiences to tourists. By the end of December 2021, Spain was the 7th top source market to the Maldives. Hence, increasing the number of arrivals from Spain and around the globe is one of the goals MMPRC has set for this year.
