The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives), alongside the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), recently highlighted the Maldives' tourism appeal at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart 2024. Held from August 27-29 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand, the event underscored the Maldives’ unique geography, vibrant marine life, and extensive accommodation options.
The Maldives’ delegation featured prominent figures such as MMPRC Chairperson Abdulla Ghiyas Riyaz, CEO & MD Ibrahim Shiuree, and MATATO CEO Aminath Suzan. They were joined by key industry players including Dhigufaru Island Resort, Furaveri Maldives, Inner Maldives, Plumeria, Ryoko Maldives, Stone Hotels Maldives, Sun Siyam Travels, and Kaani Hotels & Resort.
The showcase offered a glimpse into the diverse experiences available in the Maldives, from tranquil island getaways to exhilarating underwater adventures. This reinforced the Maldives’ status as a top global destination for all types of travelers.

The PATA Travel Mart 2024 also celebrated the 25th anniversary of PATA’s establishment in Thailand. The event featured a one-day conference, a B2B Travel Mart, and numerous networking opportunities, providing a valuable platform for travel and tourism organizations to connect with decision-makers, expand their networks, and forge new business partnerships.
