Maldives take Part in Commonwealth Tourism Webinar

Maldives’ Former President Nasheed & Minister Ali Waheed is to take part in Commonwealth Webinar on Tourism. Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council has scheduled to conduct a special webinar on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 5:20 PM - 7:00 PM PKT on the subject Commonwealth Tourism During the COVID-19 Lockdown: Immediate Responses and Future Opportunities.

In this session, the future strategies available to the tourism and travel industry will be examined, including possible substitutes such as domestic travel for larger markets and the leveraging of the Commonwealth network for international coordination in support of the revival of the industry and future growth.

In the 2 panel discussions held, His Excellency Mohammed Nasheed, Speaker of the Parliament , Maldives will participate in The impact of covid‐19 on tourism in Small Island States while Hon Ali Waheed, Minister for Tourism, Maldives will take part in The tourism industry’s response to covid‐19.
