In a bid to position the Maldives as a top-tier surf destination, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has joined forces with 'Surf Session,' a dedicated surfing media platform. The collaboration unfolded through an immersive familiarization trip and a dynamic digital campaign, targeting the French market.

The campaign kicked off with a week-long adventure featuring young surfer Kyllian Guerin, who explored and rode the best waves the Maldives has to offer. Hosted by Ayada Maldives, Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, and Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives, Kyllian's journey was expertly captured and shared across various platforms, including Instagram stories, posts, articles, and banners on both Kyllian Guerin and Surf Session's social media channels and official website.

The second phase of the campaign featured digital and print articles focusing on the surf lifestyle in the Maldives, disseminated on Surf Session's website. A captivating video documenting Kyllian's Maldivian surf experience was also released on YouTube, showcasing the breathtaking surf spots of the destination.

This collaborative effort not only solidified the Maldives' status as a premium surf destination but also ignited enthusiasm within Surf Session's extensive readership and the broader surfing community. With a collective reach of over 919,209.00, the campaign significantly increased visibility for French surfers and reinforced the Maldives brand in the French market.

By partnering with esteemed media outlets like Surf Session and influential personalities such as Kyllian Guerin, MMPRC aims to captivate potential surfers and travel enthusiasts, enticing them to choose the Maldives as their ultimate holiday haven. As of October 31, 2023, France stands at #8 in tourist arrivals, and MMPRC continues its strategic marketing initiatives to ensure the Maldives remains the preferred destination for French travelers. The successful campaign follows MMPRC's engagements with Vogue France and IFTM Top Resa 2023, with plans to further showcase the Maldives at ILTM Cannes 2023 later this year.
