Maldivian Airline Resumes Operations with Additional Domestic Flights

The national airline of Maldives, Maldivian, has announced the resumption of scheduled domestic flights starting from 1st of July. The airline commenced operations with an additional two domestic flights, improving connectivity in the destination.

On 29th June, Maldivian introduced flights to Maavarulu in Gaaf Dhaal Atoll. The opening of this new airport totals the number of airports in the Gaaf Alif and Gaaf Dhaal region to 3- Gaaf Alif Kooddoo, Gaaf Dhaal Kaadedhoo and Gaaf Dhaal Maavarulu. The one way fare of this flight is valued at MVR 827.

Further, with the commencement of flights between Addu in the South of Maldives and Kulhudhuffushi in the North, there is now direct connections between these two regions. The direct flights cost MVR1444 one way. Passengers may visit Maldivian Website or use Maldivian’s mobile app to purchase tickets. 

Passengers travelling from the Greater Male` Region (Male`, Hulhumale` & Villingili) are required to home quarantine themselves after travelling to the island, according to the new guidelines by HPA. They are requested to register in Haalu Belun portal and will be notified by HPA once their request for home quarantine is approved. If travel date has been changed, this should be updated in the portal
