National Airline Maldivian’s cargo flight has landed at Velana International Airport with 6700 kilograms of cargo from Dubai. The load delivered from Dubai mainly consisted of perishable goods.
On 9th April, Maldivian brought over 11 tonnes of cargo goods from Bangkok, Thailand. On that day, the government also announced its decision to facilitate the sending of care packages to Maldivians stranded in Trivandrum and Kochin in India, from their families in Maldives. This was on first come first serve basis. Earlier, the national airline brought 10 tonnes of cargo goods to Maldives via Thailand, Trivandrum and Chennai of India as well as Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The airline’s regular International cargo services cater to international destinations, Dhaka, Trivandrum, Chennai and Bangkok. Maldivian Cargo uplifts cargo for daily flights to Trivandrum, weekly 2 flights from Hanimadhoo to Trivandrum, 6 flights every week to Bangkok and 3 flights per week to Dhaka and Chennai.
