The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) and the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM), along with the support from Coca-Cola Maldives, will be providing food to 500 locals and expats who are being sheltered by the government in Malé and Hulhumalé.
Together with the Malé Aerated Water Company (Coca-Cola), the two associations are taking initiatives to provide food for 500 individuals for the next 30 days of Ramadan. The associations have identified one kitchen in Malé with the support of Salsa Catering, and are currently in the process of selecting a kitchen in Hulhumalé.
During the pandemic, Maldives Police Service had provided shelter to several homeless people. NGOs such as MATATO and NBAM are also stepping forwards and doing everything they can to support the community.
