The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) and the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM), along with the support from Coca-Cola Maldives, has taken the initiative to provide food to 500 locals and expats who are being sheltered by the government in Malé and Hulhumalé.
Together with the Malé Aerated Water Company (Coca-Cola), the two associations are offering food for 500 individuals for this 30 days of Ramadan. This has turned out to be an exemplary support to the community during these times and it has opened up the opportunity for others to serve the community as well.
Up to now, around 30,000 meal packages have been delivered under this initiative. Further, MATATO informs that regardless of the deteriorating weather, this service is to be continued without a halt. They have also announced the opportunity to join them in the areas of logistics, delivery and sourcing.
Despite the challenges faced in providing this service, Coca Cola Maldives, MATATO and NBAM have shown a commendable dedication. With the drive to help their nation amidst the pandemic, along with the help of Salsa, they continue with this noble deed, which has undoubtedly become an example to the rest of the country.
