MIRA Announces Information Sessions on Income Tax
Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) announces online information sessions on Income Tax, open to taxpayers and the general public. The Dhivehi session is scheduled for 10th June at 14 00 with 10 participants.
Further, MIRA offers Certificate 1 in Taxation in Maldives, a specialist qualification which would offer you a deep understanding of taxation system in Maldives, covering tax administration, GST, BPT, Green Tax and basics of International Taxation. Certificate 1 in Taxation in Maldives is MQA approved and first of its kind available in Maldives.
The 3 weeks free course has sessions that are customized for your requirements. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Once a course is scheduled, applicants will be informed of the commencement date well in advance. Slots will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Despite government offices being closed as a precautionary measure against the Covid-19 pandemic, majority of the services provided by MIRA is available online. This includes submission of tax returns, collection of payments, registration services, tax clearance, installment and fine relief.
