MITDC Introduces International Yacht Rally In Maldives!

At a ceremony held at The National Gallery in Male’ City by Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Cooperation (MITDC), The International Yacht Rally event was officially launched with high hopes of promoting the heritage and culture of Maldives with tourists.

The event included high-ranking officials of MITDC, Economic Minister, Fayyaaz Ismail, Defense Minister, Mariya Ahmed Didi, Managing Director of MMPRC, Thoyyib Mohamed and Managing Director and Co-Founder of Voyages Maldives and Seagull Group, Salah Shihab.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of MITDC, Mohamed Raaidh informed that the event will take place annually with different themes to keep the event exciting for new guests each year. The yacht will take a journey across Maldives, stopping in 15 different islands both inhabited and uninhabited. 

To take place on February 2022, “Savaadheeththa Dhathuru” Yacht Rally was organized by Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage along with National Center for Cultural Heritage bringing hopes for the future in Tourism Sector.
