Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has taken part in SATTE 2023- the premier business-to-business exhibition for travel and tourism trade professionals in South Asia. During the event held from 9-11th February, MMPRC highlighted the unrivalled beauty and diversity of the Maldives as a short-haul holiday destination for Indian travellers. SATTE 2023 took place at India Expo Mart in New Delhi, India.
SATTE 2023 provided a valuable platform for South Asian travel trade, particularly industry-leading figures and professionals to connect, network and exhibit the products and services they offer. With an increasing number of exhibitors and visitors recorded each year both domestically and internationally, SATTE has now established itself as the premier networking forum in the travel & tourism industry of South Asia.
From the Maldives’ side, a total of 81 representatives from 48 various companies participated in the fair alongside MMPRC. Together, they aimed to maintain destination presence in the Indian and broader South Asian market and provide the latest updates on the destination including our unique products and experiences. Furthermore, a destination presentation was supplied to visitors during day 2 at the main SATTE presentation area.
At the Maldives stand, visitors were given the chance to explore various activities ranging from meetings with key travel trade professionals and industry partners to influencer experiences and destination presentations. The latter spotlighted the MICE concept offered for business travellers in the Maldives. In addition to this, a sensational raffle draw was held among visitors during the event with the chance to win a free holiday in the Maldives. The giveaways were sponsored by Adaaran Club Rannalhi and Seaside Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives respectively.
The Maldives Destination and MMPRC have also been nominated for two prestigious categories of the SATTE Awards. This includes Maldives being nominated for the title of ‘Sustainable International Destination of the Year’ and MMPRC being nominated for ‘Best International Tourism Board’.
