Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has returned to Moscow Dive Show for its third year, bringing to visitors the magnificent seascapes and underwater beauty of the Maldives as well as the various experiences that can be indulged under the surface. This year’s event is being held at the ‘Gostinyi Dvor’ Exhibition Centre in Moscow from the 9th-12th February 2023.
The Moscow Dive Show is the leading exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe for watersports, diving and other marine activities. The fair provides a platform for exhibitors to display their latest offerings and collaborate with other market professionals from the diving, freediving, spearfishing and underwater photography industries. As such, the Dive Show is revered for providing excellent business connections with both B2B and B2C audiences and paves way for networking opportunities with travel buyers, influencers and market experts.
MMPRC is showcasing the Maldives at the fair alongside 6 other co-exhibitors from the industry. The industry partners are spotlighting the unique different water sports activities and adventures available on their individual properties. Furthermore, they are also able to connect with other businesses that are involved in the manufacture of relevant watersports equipment. Through this, they gain valuable insights by experiencing their products, creating activity outlines and taking part in training related to water sports activities.
MMPRC’s main motive for the exhibition is to cement the reputation of the Maldives as the premium destination for diving and water sports in the Russian and CIS markets. Moreover, it also aligns with the marketing efforts for this region by increasing the destination visibility and presence in the Russian and CIS markets. At the moment, Russia remains the largest top source market for the Maldives with over 28,000 tourists recorded in the year so far.
MMPRC conducted 16 high-profile advertising campaigns in the Russian market last year, boosting arrival numbers by a large scale at the end of 2022. Owing to this, the market saw an astonishing 201,954 arrivals in 2022, closing the year in the second position of the top 10 source markets for the Maldives.
