Ennismore has revealed plans for the opening of Mondrian Maldives in 2026, set on the pristine Kuredhivaru Island, located in the Noonu Atoll. Prior to its transformation into Mondrian Maldives, the resort will continue operations as Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa under Ennismore's management.
Originally part of the Mövenpick portfolio, the resort will maintain its association with Accor’s loyalty program, ALL.com, and will remain available for bookings. This transition highlights the commitment of both Ennismore and the property owners to elevate the guest experience under the Mondrian brand.
Mondrian Maldives will feature 105 villas, with options ranging from beach pool villas set among lush greenery, to overwater pool villas that offer sweeping views of the turquoise waters. The resort will also offer three-bedroom beach pool residences, providing direct beach access. Each villa will be equipped with a private pool, ensuring an intimate and serene experience for all guests.
True to the Mondrian ethos, the resort will provide a variety of curated experiences that reflect the Maldives' vibrant culture and heritage. On-site amenities will include a luxury spa, a fitness center, sports facilities, and a diving center to explore the rich marine life. For families, there will be a kids’ club, as well as four dining venues, offering a mix of culinary and mixology experiences.
Mondrian Maldives will carry the brand’s signature design philosophy, which has already left its mark in cities like Los Angeles, Miami, and Doha. With additional openings planned for Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and beyond, Mondrian's expansion demonstrates the brand’s growing influence in the luxury hospitality market.
Phil Zrihen, Brand COO for Mondrian Hotels at Ennismore, described the Maldives resort as a sanctuary where bold design meets natural beauty, aiming to raise the bar for cultural and culinary experiences in the region.
